What Does This Change Mean For You?

We are able to bill most insurances, even if we are not in-network with them.

The insurance exceptions we are NOT able to bill are Minnesota Care and Medical Assistance.

Please check your specific insurance policy to see if you must see an in-network provider by calling the number on the back of your insurance card.

We strive to provide the highest quality care to each and every patient at Pike Lake Dental Center. In order to maintain that quality standard, we have decided to go out-of-network with all insurance companies over the next 18 months. We will enact this change over two dates, January 1, 2024 and January 1, 2025,  to make it as easy a transition as possible for everyone.

January 1, 2024 we will be out-of-network with any insurance contracted under the Premier Dental Benefit Network, plus Health Partners. Some of these insurance companies include Aetna, Ameritas, Benefit Plan Administrators, Blue Cross Blue Shield MN, Blue Cross Blue Shield of IL, SD, MI and TX, Cigna, Companion Life, Guardian, Humana, Lincoln Financial, Met Life, Mutual of Omaha, Preferred One, Principal, Sun Life, Total Dental Administrators, United Concordia and United Healthcare.  For a list of example employers associated with these insurance companies, please click this link.

January 1, 2025 we will be out-of-network with all other insurance companies including Delta Dental/Delta Premiere (all states), United Concordia and the VA. For a list of example employers associated with these insurance companies, please click this link.

This does not mean you can’t continue seeing us for your dental needs! You can still be a patient at our office! The biggest change you will see will be the lack of insurance adjustments taken off your dental claims. You may also find your insurance company pays to you instead of us. Each insurance company is unique and has different procedures with how they reimburse dental offices for your claims.
