Pike Lake Dental’s Dental Product Review of
Colgate Gum Health Toothbrush, Ultra Soft, 2 pack
Purchased at Walmart for $7.96
I bought this set of toothbrushes because I’m always looking for a gentle, soft toothbrush that really is gentle and soft on my teeth and gums. This Colgate toothbrush pack advertised exactly what I was looking for, along with some new bristles I found intriguing, so I gave them a try.
Interestingly, the package advertises “300% Better Gum Health Improvement” with a “Reduction in gingival bleeding vs ordinary flat trim toothbrush.” The image on the front of the package also depicts an “Ultra Slim Floss-Tip Bristles.”
Initial thoughts on the product:
- The manufacturer’s packaging is very sturdy, maybe even a little challenging to get into.
- I like the feel of the toothbrush in my hand – there is a nice, wide, rounded handle.
- I like the grip – the little bit of rubbery texture is perfect for me.
- I’m not crazy about the orange color.
Things that ran through my mind while using this toothbrush:
- This toothbrush is both gentle and soft!
- The bristles are very soft, yet surprisingly sturdy.
- My gums felt gently brushed, but not scratched.
- No bleeding gums! Sometimes, even if I brush very gently, my gums will bleed.
- My teeth feel sparkly clean!
- The head is perfectly sized for an adult. Some toothbrushes have a gigantic head on them. This one does not.
- I know we could argue the gentle aspect of a toothbrush has mostly to do with how gently you brush your own teeth, but I do feel as though this toothbrush is gentle.
Here’s something else I realized about this toothbrush: It’s very smooth!
- The entire top half is made of a super smooth plastic.
- It glides easily next to my cheek when I brush my molars.
- My teeth and gums feel great!
Overall I’d give this product a 5/5 stars for these FIVE reasons:
- It delivers what it claims – It is a soft toothbrush that is gentle on my gums.
- It’s a quality product and the Colgate brand is a trusted name in the dental industry.
- I enjoyed using the toothbrush – For a manual toothbrush, this is a great toothbrush to use everyday.
- Value – I believe the toothbrush was worth its price. It breaks down to $3.98 per toothbrush and I certainly think this brush is worth $3.98.
- I’d definitely purchase it again and recommend it to my friends and family.
Yes, I’m glad I purchased this toothbrush and I’m happy that I’ll have a spare to put in my travel bag.
In conclusion, I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a fairly inexpensive, soft, manual toothbrush. I’ll post the links for the toothbrush from Target, Walmart and Amazon here for you.
