Extractions

An extraction is the removal of a tooth, usually due to disease, injury or crowding.  Sometimes there is not enough tooth structure to save and then an extraction is indicated.  Wisdom teeth are sometimes recommended for extraction if they are impacted, or unable to erupt normally into the mouth, and could become problematic.  Your comfort is our top priority during an extraction; you can expect to feel pressure, but no pain. After the extraction, we will advise you of what post extraction regimen to follow. In most cases a small amount of bleeding is normal. Your mouth will slowly fill in the bone where the tooth root was through the formation of a blood clot.
