During your checkup we will be inspecting your mouth and throat for any signs of oral cancer. This includes a visual exam and palpation of the jaw and neck. Regular visits help increase the chance that any suspicious area will be caught early. Inform us if you have any area in your mouth, a lump or sore area, that doesn’t go away within two weeks. Most times, these areas are benign and not cancer, but a biopsy may be necessary.
